Your Lab Support Station — here to help you find your feet, choose a lens, or sort out any access issues. You're in the right place.
The Self Development Lab currently lives within ChatGPT as a custom GPT whilst in it's beta testing phase.
With the support of our Founding Members, The Lab will transfer to it's own app.
For now, simply bring a topic, challenge or question you'd like to explore and give The Lab some details about what you'd like to explore.
The Lab will help you choose from a library of self-development lenses, each offering a different perspective and approach to understanding yourself and your experiences.
Through guided conversations, thought-provoking questions and practical experiments, you'll uncover patterns, challenge beliefs, gain fresh perspectives and discover new ways to move forward.
Once you've purchased your Access Pass, you'll receive an email containing your access link and step-by-step instructions for getting started.
First, check your original access email and try opening the link again. If you're still having difficulties, use the contact form below and we'll help you get back in.
No. The Lab is designed for self-exploration, reflection, and personal development. It is not a substitute for professional mental health support. If you need that, please reach out to a qualified professional.
You don't need to know which lens is right for you. Simply tell The Lab what you'd like to explore, and it will recommend a lens to help you get started.
Not at all. There's no set pathway. Explore whichever lens feels most relevant to what you're experiencing right now — your journey is entirely your own.
Absolutely. You can return to The Lab with different topics, questions, and challenges whenever you like. The Lab is here whenever you are.
Start wherever you are. Share a feeling, a situation, or even something you're struggling to put into words. The Lab will gently help you explore from there.
Absolutely! Different lenses can reveal different aspects of the same experience.
For example, you might explore a relationship challenge through the Origins Lens to understand where certain patterns began, then use the Mirror Lens to explore what your current experiences might be reflecting about your inner world.
You can explore lenses individually, combine them within a single experiment or revisit the same topic from different perspectives over time.
The Lab is designed to be flexible and adaptable, empowering you to explore in the way that best suits your needs and preferences. Discover different modalities and approaches to deepen your self-discovery journey.
Yes! The Lab offers three flexible modes for engagement:
Simply tell The Lab how you'd like to work, and it will adapt the experience accordingly.
That’s entirely up to you! Whether you have 15 minutes or want to explore something over several weeks, The Lab offers three different depth modes:
Quick Session | 10–20 minutes
Perfect for exploring something that's on your mind right now — an emotion, decision, difficult interaction or recurring thought. A few focused questions or a short exercise can help you gain clarity and identify what matters most.
Deep Dive | 20–90 minutes
For when you want to look beneath the surface. Explore underlying beliefs, emotional patterns, relationships or aspects of your identity through more in-depth conversations, reflections and exercises.
Structured Journey | Several days to several months
Want to go even deeper? Ask The Lab to create a personalised development journey around your chosen topic. This could be a 3-day intensive, a 5-day exploration or a 7–12-week programme, combining different lenses, practical experiments and opportunities to apply what you're learning in everyday life.
You're always in control. All three modes can be adapted for solo, partner or group exploration, and the timeframes are flexible.
Simply tell The Lab how much time you have and how you'd like to explore. You don't need hours to make a meaningful discovery — sometimes 15 minutes is enough!
Not at all! While The Lab may naturally begin with reflective questions or journaling prompts, there's a wide array of explorations you can undertake.
You can ask The Lab to create practical exercises, real-world experiments, role-play conversations, creative activities, or guided visualisations to help you explore your topic in diverse ways.
The key is to tell The Lab what you'd like to try. For example, you could say:
- "Can you give me a practical exercise to explore this?"
- "I'd like to experiment with changing this pattern in my everyday life."
- "Can we explore this through a role-play conversation?"
- "I'd prefer something more interactive than journaling."
The Lab is designed to adapt to you, so don't be afraid to experiment with how you experiment!
Absolutely. You can use The Lab for a quick exploration of something that's on your mind, a deeper dive into a particular challenge, or a structured journey over several weeks.
For example, you could ask The Lab to design a six-week exploration of your relationship patterns, combining different lenses, guided conversations, practical experiments, and weekly reflection.
You decide how deeply you'd like to explore, and The Lab can help you create a pathway that works for you.
